Supporting the Striking Workers at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

On Tuesday, October 18, newsroom workers at the Pittsburgh Post Gazette began an unfair labor practice strike. We support the workers on strike, and all other journalists who have stood up to the fair treatment of these union workers.

If you are looking for ways to support the striking families, please consider the following:

  • Donate to Support Striking Families, every little bit helps!
  • Cancel your Subscriptions, advertisements, or interviews with the Post-Gazette or Butler Eagle and encourage family and friends to do the same until they give a fair contract to the union workers
  • Read the Union Progress, the online strike publication from striking workers.
  • Contact the publisher of the Post-Gazette, John Block, at johnrblock@theblade.com and impress upon him the importance of ending the labor strife at his newspaper by reaching a fair contract with the Guild
