The Allegheny County Democratic Committee, headed by Chair Sam Hens-Greco and Vice Chair Morgan Overton, released a comprehensive voters’ guide to the upcoming primary. Providing an overview of Democratic candidates who will be on the ballot, the guide will be mailed to over 160K voters and is expected to reach up to 240K of the 534K registered Democrats in Allegheny County.
The voters’ guide is an attempt to engage more Democratic voters and ultimately encourage them to turn out for the primary on May 16. “We believe the ACDC has an obligation to Allegheny County Democrats to inform them about the candidates running for office,” committee leadership wrote in an email to committee members. “By providing easy access to candidate information, we believe voter turnout will increase in this election and future elections.”
