In early September, our community lost an amazing advocate for Democracy, Mr. William Betts, Sr. Mr. Betts was a long-time member of the 15th Ward Democratic Committee, working hard in Hazelwood and Glen Hazel to encourage members of the community to vote. He spent a number of years operating the Hazelwood YMCA, and his dedication to his community does not go unnoticed.
As the 15th Ward Democratic Committee, we offer our condolences to his family, and hope that the legacy he left behind is one that we can help to carry on in our work.
